Most women never think twice about their
air fryer.

I didn't either - until I started looking at everything in my kitchen through the lens of hormones.

Conventional non-stick air fryers are coated in PFAS - chemicals that release directly into your food when heated.

PFAS act as xenoestrogens - meaning they mimic estrogen in the body. They bind to hormone receptors and disrupt normal signaling even in tiny amounts.

Specifically in women they are linked to:

Estrogen dominance: PFAS add to the estrogenic load, worsening symptoms like bloating, heavy periods, breast tenderness, and weight gain around the hips and belly.

Progesterone suppression: disrupting the estrogen/progesterone balance that women in perimenopause are already losing.

Thyroid dysfunction:
PFAS structurally resemble thyroid hormones and compete for the same binding sites, linked to hypothyroidism, sluggish metabolism, fatigue, brain fog, and weight resistance.

Metabolic disruption:
Associated with insulin resistance and increased visceral fat.

I switched to glass.

Glass doesn't leach. Glass doesn't react. Glass is just glass.

This is the kind of thing no doctor is going to tell you in a 15 minute appointment.

This is why I'm so grateful I found holistic medicine.

When you start looking at your whole environment - your cookware, your products, your food, your stress - that's when the weight starts to shift. That's when the fog lifts. That's when your body starts to feel like yours again.

This is exactly what I help women understand inside my programs.

If you're bloated all the time, this might be why.

Eating street food abroad is one of life's great joys.

But it also comes with a real and underappreciated risk: parasites.

And more people are walking around with them than they realize.

The good news? Many can be addressed. The key is doing it properly.

Most people skip the steps that actually matter:

✨Testing first to identify exactly what you're dealing with.

✨Opening your detox pathways before you go after the parasite.

✨Supporting your liver and kidneys so your body can actually process what's being released.

Cleansing takes energy.

If you move too fast, or if your drainage organs aren't prepared, the process becomes harder on your body than it needs to be.

There's a real science to timing, sequencing, and support.

Herbal protocols can be incredibly effective when the foundation is set correctly.

Without that foundation, you're pushing your body uphill.

If you're bloated all the time and you've traveled internationally, this is worth paying attention to.

Type CLEANSE below and I'll send you more info so you can understand the right steps and start your cleanse.

Have you ever been told, "Good news! Your blood work is normal," but you still felt exhausted, struggled with weight gain, brain fog, poor sleep, bloating, low energy, or hormonal symptoms?

You're not alone.

I hear this often.

Were you told "you're getting old, what did you expect?" or were you offered an antidepressant?

This is more common than we think.

I hear it every week, at least once.

One of the biggest myths in healthcare is that normal blood work automatically means you're healthy.

Don't fall for it.

In reality, most standard lab tests are designed to identify disease-not to assess whether your body is functioning optimally.

And standard lab ranges are based on unhealthy populations to begin with.

Many people can experience symptoms for years before their lab values fall outside the "normal" range.

By the time a result is flagged as abnormal, imbalances may have been developing for quite some time.

So then the next question comes-

How do you know you're healthy?

Health isn't just the absence of disease.

It's having:

✨ Steady energy throughout the day
✨ Balanced hormones
✨ Clear thinking and mental focus
✨ Having a calm heart and being able to see you need to work on your emotional reactions (remember your emotional reactions increase your overall stress load)
✨ Restful sleep
✨ Healthy digestion
✨ A body that feels strong, resilient, and vibrant

If you're experiencing symptoms, don't ignore them simply because someone told you your blood work is normal.

Your symptoms are information.

Your body is communicating with you.

The goal shouldn't be to be "normal."

The goal should be to be vibrant, self aware and inspired.

Don't settle for an "ok" existence.

What about awesome?

It's possible.

Type "Vibrant" if you want access to my free masterclass where I show you how you can go from "ok" to awesome.

After years of cancelled plans, closed borders, and a world that went quiet, my husband, Mickey and I made a decision: we are going to see the world, learn from it, and bring others along with us.

Life is too short and too extraordinary to stay home.

And June is the perfect month to announce it.

Since the world reopened, the question I get asked more than almost anything else is: "Dr. Alexina, when are you doing an Ayurvedic retreat?"

The moment is now.

June has always been our most beloved month.

It's our anniversary. My birthday. Father's Day. My little sister's birthday AND her anniversary. And my grandmother, who is turning 99 this year.

This month has always pulsed with love in our family. This year it pulses with something more!

January 15-22, 2027

When you're married to an ER doctor, you never just drive past an accident.

You pull over.

That's my Mickey. My Braveheart. 💗

Today we were out running errands and came across a serious collision.

Before I could even process what was happening, he was already out of the car.

No hesitation. Just compassion and courage.

Thankfully everyone was safe. 🙏

I talk a lot about healing on this page.

Watching him today reminded me that healing shows up in a thousand different ways.

Sometimes it's herbs and hormones and ancient wisdom.

And sometimes it's a doctor who stops on the side of the road because that's just who he is.

Grateful for this man. ❤️
